The Large Satellite dish is Arthur - he is famous - Arthur was built to follow Telstar the satellite which enabled the first Trans-Atlantic Television transmission, and Arthur was there at the begining. Arthur is a listed building and so when the decision was made to dismantle the other Satellite dishes on Goonhilly Down, Cornwall - Arthur got to stay and you can still visit him at the Goonhilly Earth Station on the Lizard in Cornwall and at the same time learn about the history of communication and Arthurs important part in it.
