Description
Rumbling Kern is a series of rock formations near the village of Howick in Northumberland. "Rumbling Kern" is said to be named because a particular feature of the rock makes a noise as the waves roll in. Northumberland has some spectacular sandy beaches but it is also known for the very rugged rock formations of which this is one of many. This image has had a little extra texture added to give a sense of the hard rocky environment - drama by the bucket full!
